On August 15, 2005, the Chinese Embassy in Damascus hosted a reception in commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of the victory of China's war of resistance against Japanese aggression and the worldwide war against Fascism. Attending the reception were more than 200 guests. Ambassador Zhou Xiuhua has delivered a  speech to mark this important historic event.
